75% is close Michael, but it's better to be between 80-85%. My final prep advice is to look at the Exam Content Outline and look at each domain area and the "Tasks" PMI expect PMP's to perform. I found several of these tasks mentioned on the exam and knowing them and the terms/meanings helped me a lot. By the way, thank you for your military service :-)

I echo Sante. Aside from straight content...

Give yourself a break the day before the exam. At this point, you've absorbed about all you can - so it is what it is at this point. Now focus on your preparation - body and mind. Eat well, relax, sleep, and prepare yourself for sitting for the 4-hours.

Be mindful of the time, make quick decisions - mark or attempt, you don't want to waste time reading a question multiple times, then thinking too long on the answer. Trust your gut.

Avoid downing that 20oz. coffee prior to the exam. Going to the bathroom wastes time. Leaving and coming back in is a process in itself. If you do have to, pay attention to the others in the room. Don't leave when others are out b/c you risk waiting in line to sign and get scanned to come back in!
I completed the exam, then took a break prior to working on my marked questions. That was like hour 3.

Control the exam, do not let it control you. Good luck, sir!

The result is better but always expect at least 10-20 % less marks what you are getting in local scenario.Because many factors matter in exam hall on exam day like level of stress of actual exam, difficulty level of questions, in how many questions you got stuck up and got confused or worried for coming questions.

So, once you feel prepared enough that u are achieving more than 80-85% success in questions and you are easily understanding the scenarios and got reached to problem of the question that's the right time to jump in.

Hi

All the above advice is good. I have written 7 of the PMI exams (first time pass on all). What has worked for me is.

1. Have a very good night sleep. You need to be refreshed for the exam.
2. When answer the questions the following need to apply.
a. you are sure the option you have chosen is correct. - move on
b You think it could be option a or c (for example). Mark the one you feel is the right one and mark it for review - Move on
c. The question is a bit confusing or long or you cannot understand what they are asking. Do nothing. DO not try and figure it out - move on.
At the end of all the exam option A should be at 70% option B should be about 20% and option C should be at most 10%. This should be the 3 hour mark for the PMP exam.
3. When you have got to the end of the exam, start going thought the option C above, one that you have not answered. There is an option on the exam to just go through the unanswered questions. Go through the unanswered questions and answer it. Again you are either in option A or B.
At this stage, you should have answered all of the questions.
Now go through the one that you have marked for review. Unless you are now very very sure that the answer you choose the first time was incorrect, do no change any answers as your first gut feel will normally be right.
When you have gone through them once, finish the exam.

Good luck!

75% is definitely a good score to crack real PMP exam but it depends heavily on what set of questions you practiced and scored. Make sure you follow the hierarchy among all 47 processes, which comes after whom and why. Also make sure to remember the concepts which is very important when answering the questions. Practice on ITTO's, remember the tools and techniques along with the numerical questions. Critical part is to control your anxiety level/patience for 4 hours and select the best answer.

I completely echo with Andrew, Control the exam, do not let it control you. All the best !!

Michael - all the best.
1. While you are gaining 75% marks - see which are the areas you are losing out, meaning the other 25%. This way you will find a pattern.
2. Answers are so similar - that it will confuse you, only for some of them – not all.
3. Mathematical questions are generally very easy to score and simple.
4. Time yourself - in my case i made sure not more an 1 min and in some places i quickly answered - saved about 15 mins at the end to review the questions again and once which were marked for review.
5. Some questions are lengthy, not all. If you are not able to get it at first instance – mark one of the answers and also mark it for review and move ahead – this saves time - remember to review those questions again.
6. Preferably don’t take breaks in between – such as drinking water, of going to rest rooms – every time you step out – you will be scanned for security reasons – this way you will lose 10+ mins.

Be confident in the fact that you have adequately prepared yourself. I suggest the day before the exam that you step away from it all. Take a drive to the facility to see if there are any traffic delays (construction etc.) going on. Ensure you get a good nights rest and breakfast to sustain you, as I agree with Ganesh try not to take breaks unless absolutely necessary.

If possible take the day before as a vacation from work.

Good Luck!

Michael,
just keep calm. There is no guarantee anyway and 75% is quite good.
Do some more practice and try to repeat a bit where you think you have some weak spots and than just go for it. Take a break the day before and a good rest the night before.
All the best.
