Maybe, it was a bug this whole time :) what happens then to all previous ratings. Are they scaled, so 5 would become 4?

We might be in the Matrix. We thought it was 1-6, but in reality it was 1-5. Who can really say? There's no way to prove it. lol, actually I can, because I saved some older articles as PDF's and the old rating is still displayed at the bottom ;-)

Hi all,

It looks like you all noticed the ratings change here on the site!

We shifted from the seven point rating scale to the more common and familiar five point rating scale because the five point rating scale is both more easily integrated and understood universally, as this is the standard rating scale used across websites, communities, and other online spaces. Additionally, using a familiar rating system helps us quickly and easily compare content quality.

It's important to note that all existing ratings have been translated to the five point scale.

We hope that helps!

Thanks and please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
