Lubrication is key success of maintaining rotational equipment, so do human being needs lube, It is very important to have such exercise and even I provide them with coffee & donuts or sweets, I don't mind to spend from my own pocket, this small costs makes huge impact on overall moral of the team and many times they do work for me out of the ordinary which serve overall project objectives or maintenance objectives.
What about you Samer do you do the same? have you been invited by your own boss?

Thanks Riyadh for your input.
I used to do that with my team on the last Thursday of every month, but rarely invited by my boss.
I would say that this habit has a very good impact and it motivates the team.
Sometimes, but not "on a regular basis" outside. I have made it a habit in previous projects to try and get together once a week socially whether it's inside or outside the organization's premises. Saving Changes...

Nothing is wrong in that and as a Project Manager it's good to invite them for Lunch or dinner which can encourage team to work equally and motivate them to give their best at work.
We are here getting invited sometimes from our Boss. We really like that during that time we are having some discussion regarding work and some other talk like we share each other's experience.
So, i would say if we are making this habit then it's good for developing a Project Team. Saving Changes...

I have been invited by our bosses and leadership at several occasion. Also myself and peer levels found to adopt a practice of inviting there team members for a lunch/dinner or small party at special moments of achieving something great. I feel it bring a motivation in team and increases our connects and allow team members to discharge their negativity (if any) induced due to challenges of systems.
I observed a couple of teams in my ecosystem take there group for motivational events and team building exercises. Moreover organization allows to allocate a formal fund for such activities and it help a lot in building a high performing team. Saving Changes...

I do but not on regular basis. It is important to do such activities from time to time as it promotes team building, trust and motiviation. Saving Changes...
Regular (at least weekly) recognition is important - both at a team and individual level. However, the specific nature of the recognition should vary to keep it meaningful and doesn't always have to involve financial expenditure.
It's nice to get together with the team in a social setting on a regular basis, but I actually prefer it when such events emerge organically from the team themselves vs. a top-down activity.

If we are talking recognition, as a similar thread, yes, as much as possible. Speaking specifically of buying breakfast/lunch/dinner - when appropriate, but certainly not on a regular basis. Saving Changes...
