I would say definitely. PM's should be aware of the strategic goals of the organization and ensure that their projects either meet them or do not go against them.

Am a 'maybe'; especially if it is a external PM. Through strong sponsorship and gating through the phases, I am hoping that there will always be an alignment exercise where project goals (which I think the PM is responsible for) = strategic goals (which I think the sponsor is responsible for).....I just asked the question as a result of a friendly disagreement with a friend :-). The odds seem to be in her favour :-)
only if the projects they manage trace back to those goals. If a poor job has been done at translating strategy into a roadmap of project investments, PMs can only escalate this concern...
Project should be align to Strategic goals of the organisation.
If it is not the case, the PM should bring it to the attention of the right people, like Kiron mention.

Any project should be connected to the over all strategy of the company, otherwise it is just a messy place. PM should always try to keep that connection. In many cases projects gets shelved or ignored because the PM could not keep the connection to the strategy. It is not only PM but also the sponsor is highly responsible for that.

If the deliverables of the project are aligned with the corporation's strategic vision. It's usually a job for the PMO or senior management or the Board to map that. So yes PM's have a role in this, but are not responsible for mapping it.
