Yes it's certainly not related to influence...or posts, or articles, or contributions, or votes, or ratings, or any of the other criteria, because I have seen people on there with an influence in the mid 20s and virtually no contributions to the site.
This is an interesting question. I agree with Sante, I do not think influence is the main driver for having your picture displayed. I have seen scores as low as 42 and as high as 84 which is a huge difference. There is a different criterion.
