Yesterday I completed my second attempt at the PMP exam. I was on target for all process groups except closing. The first time I attempted the same thing (initiating was also a problem) How do I better understand how to facilitate this process? It is such a small area and yet I'm at a loss re where I keep going wrong. I'm feeling frustrated that one process area that needs improvement led to me failing the exam.

Hi LaRee, was it only one area that was below proficient, because that alone shouldn't fail you on the exam?

Yes closing came back at needs improvement and all of the other processes came back at target.

It is strange for me as closing is just 7% of exam and is the smallest part.
I would suggest spend some more time on situational based questions on closing specially and you will make it.

Yes. It is strange to me too as other classmates have passed with two areas below target or at needs improvement. They, however, had one or two areas that were graded above target, therefore, I am wondering if PMI averages the overall grade.

Remember this " third time's the charm." so go for it you need to do complete analysis on both exam check the area of knowledge even with 7% or 13% it is very important to answer right you need to study all conditions of closing which step comes first and initiating business case profit analysis all that chart requirements in initiating, wish you good luck
