What about untimebox meeting? meeting where less important or lower priority point take more time than critical or key points.

Information that is circulated to all, without minimal clarity, Who, Why When type of information.

Thanks Robin, yes it's also the time leading up to and just following bad meetings (ie. travel) that is also a waste of time.

Thanks Dinah, there was one project that went for over a year, and I swear at least half the day was meetings, because it was so stakeholder/heavy.

Meetings, Mails, improper documentation in real life projects-- these are main causes that drives me crazy personally.
At the same time, these are the things which guide you thru' crunch time.
One meeting, mail or a single document will put light on your doubts, confusion and then you have clear picture how to proceed further.
It depends on the contents of meeting, mail or document whether they help you make decision or more of them required to clear the picture.

Sante, I would agree with you on non value added meetings with few stakeholders who try to interfere with every thing just to pretend that they are key stakeholders but they are just rubbish.

Thanks Riyadh, yes sometimes stakeholders don't really have anything to say and shouldn't even be a stakeholder cos they are really not affected by the project or could effect the project, they have just been nominated as someone we must meet with for whatever reason.
