Think about the best boss you ever had. What made them the best?

I think my best boss was one of my first ones. She was no nonsense. She forced people to back up what they said. If you said you were doing something a certain way, she would ask you to show her to documentation that told you to do it that way. I learned to do the research, document everything and be ready to present at a moment's notice.

She would also back you up when needed. Knowing your boss has your back is still one of the measures I apply to every boss.
