I have noticed that many PMP's seem to struggle with collecting the necessary PDUs. I have not, but for the sake of others I thought I would ask this question.

For myself, I have gained PDUs from the following:
- ProjectManagement.com webinars (at least half come from this)
- Paid training (some of this is from the training for the next certification)
- Conferences (I usually attend one or two a year)
- Online conferences offered on ProjectManagement.com (like PMXPO, Talent Mgt, etc)
- Local chapter offerings (attended a PM Saturday)
- Training offered through company (we have extensive online training)
- Lynda.com (just started using this resource that I can access for free through our library)

I know there are many other options, but this is my path. Please share your own path for the others who may be struggling a bit.

I used webinars at Project Management.com, 20 in each category of the triangle. I found it to be the most convenient as you automatically received credit. However, I currently work as a Project Manager and I Volunteer with my company PM Workshop as a mentor.

Hi,

work experience, reading, webinars & chapter conferences are best.
for example you can claim 8PDU's for work experience in the 3 year cycle.
1 hour of self directed learning (including reading) is 1 PDU.

details of the max in each category can be found in the CCR handbook at the following link;

https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/...ts-handbook.pdf

sources of on demand webinars are linked below;

ProjectManagement.com, attending local PMI Chapter, reading and being a practioner. If you have a curious mind, getting your required PDUs is not a challenge even at no or low cost.

When I first got my PMP 12 years most of my PDUs came from work experience, live events and by doing PM training for my company. Now with a different role most PDU do come from the webinars and online events which are more convenient
