I have noticed that many PMP's seem to struggle with collecting the necessary PDUs. I have not, but for the sake of others I thought I would ask this question.
For myself, I have gained PDUs from the following:
- ProjectManagement.com webinars (at least half come from this)
- Paid training (some of this is from the training for the next certification)
- Conferences (I usually attend one or two a year)
- Online conferences offered on ProjectManagement.com (like PMXPO, Talent Mgt, etc)
- Local chapter offerings (attended a PM Saturday)
- Training offered through company (we have extensive online training)
- Lynda.com (just started using this resource that I can access for free through our library)
I know there are many other options, but this is my path. Please share your own path for the others who may be struggling a bit. Saving Changes...
1) How do you determine which category (technical, leadership or strategic & business) a one-hour podcast falls into? PM Podcast actually provides that classification (which is helpful) but I haven't seen that the others do, so that is why I ask. 2) Also, if you read the Agile Practice Guide, do you just time yourself reading it and then report that many PDU hours? I'd assume so. Saving Changes...

Yesterday morning I was talking to another PMP at work (there are currently only 4 of us). She asked me where I get my PDUs because she is struggling.
She is not on this site, yet.
Well, I not only gave her my list or resources, but I pulled additional items from this discussion thread.
I kind of blew her away :) And I expect she will be joining this site very soon.
So thank you all again for all of your input.

Please suggest Podcasts that you think I will enjoy and learn something useful. Also, how many PDUs do Podcasts yield? Are they all one?
