Rami - I've been using SmartSheet on/off for about 9 years. I describe it to people I work with as Excel on steroids. It provides the base task management features with minimal resource planning functionality BUT the overall strength that I point out to everyone is that it's easy to use for planning and has many collaboration like features. It's a great 'lite' PM tool for entry level PMs and very useful when trying to engage end users. The more technical teams will lean towards Jira and the more corporate team lean towards MS Project.

Thank you so much Meade. Appreciate your feedback.

We are a project management consulting firm and are thinking of using this program as it will help engage all staekholders on one screen. Do you think it will work well for a consulting firm ?

You cover it all... ..it is easy to use if you have unexperienced team or a small project. I used it many times. Sometimes I use it to send a client a simple and easy thing to understand.

Rami - I think for stakeholder engagement it would work great - it's a one screen view of progress. You can add notes, files, allow for automated messaging based on specific row/field updates, allows for form entry of information and some simple workflows. You can also customize the look/feel easily (as well as the default view). Good Luck!

I used it once Rami, and Meade is correct it does provide a pretty good overview all in one view.

Hi Rami - we use it to manage our tasks. We have built it into SharePoint as well with an email notification process when someone has a request for our team. It's pretty easy to you if you know Excel well. Thanks!
