Last year I picked one day a week work in addition to my university work, and that came to an end now and today is my last day.
Usually, I leave silently, what do you suggest, what did you do in the past as Project Manager.

I usually sneak out the back door lol. Not being one for big celebrations, but for the team I have held coffee shop "parties" in the past.

I am not leaving teaching at all, I love it. I had a one day job, kind of extended project which had come to an end and I am leaving it. My manager just called and inviting our team to lunch out as a farewell party.

Kevin -

In my past, it was either a non-event (poor organization culture), or someone (my people manager, one of my team members, or a peer) would organize something for me - a lunch, cake or something similar.

If no one is stepping up to do something and if you are leaving on good terms, then I'd bring in some donuts or other baked goods for your team and close colleagues so their last memory of you is a sweet one!
