I do not know what is your current job responsibility. Generally, in construction project, you can apply your knowledge (PMP) in construction management.
If you are a quality engineer, now you can apply project quality management knowledge area more elaborately in planning, executing and controlling the quality of the project including inspection of all testing and verifying test results in conformance with standards and specifications. In construction, changes are inevitable-now you know how to manage changes in accordance with a change management plan or as stipulated in the contract document. You can control project scope, schedule, cost. You can recommend corrective action, preventive action, defect repair etc.
I would say you can apply and customise project management processes with your own discretion in accordance with the need of the project. Saving Changes...

After acquiring PMP credentials try to sketch out a plan based on below key areas:
1. You would already have some processes in place with respect to Project Management profession, based on which you have built your experience. Now try to ascertain what new knowledge you acquired against these existing processes, using which you can further solidify the existing process.
2. There are always chances that in your workplace certain processes that are part of PMBOK have never been used. Try to look at that if implemented, whether these processes will help carry your project work in a better way with benefit analysis and then implement them.
Hope it helps. Saving Changes...

The first thing you should understand is the following: just because you are a PMP now do not expect a promotion or being given the PM responsibilities, unless you already have significant experience.
Next, technically everything in the PMBOK Guide and MORE can and should be applied in the construction phase of a project. However, maybe you will not apply all YOURSELF since you might have a focused role on cost, scheduling, quality, or something else. (as Mr. Rahman said) Saving Changes...
