Do you keep a little PM black book?

Notes about how you really think or feel? Stakeholder (secret) analysis)? Things you heard or saw that you want to keep a record of, just in case? Anything can go into a little black book...that you don't want others to read.

Rami do you find that secure? These bigger players I always wonder about their security.

Good idea Demetrius. Many years ago I (and I assume everyone) had physical black books or notebooks, but it's easy to fall into the wrong hands. So now the non critical (but still private) stuff I have in a physical book, and the critical and super private stuff (that you wouldn't want someone else to read) goes in an online secure cloud app.

I do not have a book. I do make lists of everything on any paper available. Nothing that can't be shared with anyone. Most of it is temporary information. Things to do, ideas about new projects or technologies, etc.
I do find that once I right something down, I tend to remember it which is why I prefer pen and paper to the computer.
That's cool that you can be 100% transparent with information.

Absolurtely, I personally use my smartphone to keep notes while travelling whether in the train or the bus conveying me to my office.
Great Cheikh, is the notes app secured beyond the phone's password?

Yes it is secure as I do not keep National Treasures there :-)

I do not mention names and I have abbreviations and coding for certain things that I only understand so even if someone had access to those notes, good luck with him/her figuring out what it means.

lol sounds like me, little codes. well that's for my notebook that is physical and can fall into someones hands, just in case. But the stuff I cant divulge, not national secrets but corporate secrets, i guess they have to remain in the cloud black book.

I use Evernote in my personal phone and tablet, so only myself have access to them. High level plans, Minutes, conversations. I even insert diagrams, pictures and mind maps. And I have stakeholders maps and plans too.
Everything is synced in the web, minimising risk of loosing them (I hope).
Hi Sante,
It can definitively happen. Likewise, someone may peep into someone's personal notebook. There will be privacy issues though.
Cheers

Yes I agree Pedro, it happened to me a long time ago which is why I have been careful about it since then.
