I'm looking for literature on business re-engineering processes. Looking for something non-industry specific that would cover project initiation right through completion.
As a newbie to this whole topic - and feeling somewhat disoriented can anyone refer some good guides for the six sigma or the helix both of which have been referenced in here. Saving Changes...

Hi David. The best book I have found on Six Sigma is "The Six Sigma Way". You can get it at Amazon. Its an easy read. I would be happy to send you a copy of The Helix Factor with my compliments. Just email me your address. [email protected] Saving Changes...
This thread is getting a bit long in the tooth, and runs the risk of turning into a distribution center for Michael's remainders. So despite my earlier contribution of suggestions about books by Eli Goldratt (The Goal, It's Not Luck, Necessary but Not Sufficient), here's a few more that I've recently read and that should apply...
Thoughtware, by J. Philip Kirby and David Hughes, 1997, Productivity Press. The subtitle of the book is a great summary -- "Change the thinking and the organization will change itself."
Deming and Goldratt -- The Theory of Constraints and the System of Profound Knowledge, by Domenico Lepore and Oded Cohen, 1999, North River Press. This is a great synthesis of TOC and Deming's most important contribution -- and it wasn't statistical process control.

Thanks Frank, its great to have as many references as we can. Wish I could offer them all for free but that is beyond my means. Frank, maybe you could contribute some of your published items toward advancing knowledge in the area.
