I'm trying to apply the Agile to some well known scope project, because some of the aspects need to be more flexible to the changes.
is it okay that I apply the methodology to this project?

Agile is not a methodology but a set of values and principles which could be applied to any type of project. Specific agile methodologies could be adapted to fit a project which doesn't lend itself to a "full" agile delivery approach but such tailoring does require an experienced team.

Trying to adding something to Kiron comment above, let me say: Agile is not a method or methodology as Kiron well said. If you are talking about Agile methods you can use it to create other type of products instead of IT/Software. I did that lot of times using Scrum (by the way, is a framework), DSDM and TDD.

You need to begin with an Agile mindset within the organization or at least this "pilot" advocated by a sponsor. Otherwise there is very little chance of it taking hold.
