Simple Project Reporting Database

Does anyone know of a very simple to use project reporting database? What would be perfect is an Access 2003 (or before) db that would allow multiple users to enter (or pull from other apps) text and or numbers into pre-defined (possibly customizable) fields, against which reports could be run. Microsoft had what looked like a good one on their web site to download, but you needed Access 2007. We're currently a 2003 shop. Any ideas?
