I attend when it's in my area and can fit it in with my schedule. One of the venues is on my way home from work so try to make to the meetings there.

What was the topic of the meeting, Kevin?

I would like to attend but it has been logistically difficult to do so. They are in the opposite direction of where I work and with traffic as it is around the DC area it would take me over an hour to get there.
I was recently able to attend a PM Saturday and I did enjoy it. I will keep trying to find events that I can attend.

Kevin -

If my Chapter offered breakfast meetings, I'd likely be attending more but it's been at least a few years since I attended one of their dinner meetings. I'm a morning person and usually am my most gregarious before noon. By 6 PM, I'm ready to enjoy dinner and watch a movie or TV show with the family...

I did participate very actively a decade or so back when I served on the board of the Chapter for a six year run and then afterwards for a year or so but we are now ships passing in the night...

Kevin,

I no longer member of my local chapter (PMI Montreal), informations and conferences content can be interesting. The problem is the setting that discourage networking.

So I choose to be involve and participate in other organisations.

I would have loved to join but my nearest chapter is 1000 km away :(

Nope, so far they always seem to have sponsored events that we still pay for.

I used to, but they've changed a few things about the meetings, in the last year, that make it difficult to attend regularly. I go when I can.

No, most of time it doesn't fit with my schedule or else it's far away from my home.

I usually attend several each year if the topic is of interest and it is convenient

The last few years I was traveling from project to project and since I came back I started visiting the chapter in my town. It is not only for the subject of the meeting but also to meet professional PM from different disciplines.. It was great night yesterday...
Second Wed of the month is the busiest evening. I have 3 commitments at that evening.. but I am trying to accommodate my self at least 6 times a year.
