how do you handle claims that after closing is still open?

all work are finished but still one of the contract claim is open, how do you work in this situation?

It would seem to me that the choice of closing the project before settlement was made. The claim is now in the hand of the organisation. Project people should be involve to reach a settlement on the claim.

Two choices - the claims are handled within the project lifetime or we close the project out and turn the claim over to our procurement department to deal with afterwards. It depends on the context of the claim and what (if anything) was specified in the contract related to outstanding claims once full project scope has been delivered.

Sometimes it happens that some contracts and claims continue beyond the project. It depends on the type of contract / claim and situation / contractual obligations.
