If anyone could advise how I can make my CV more effective to showcase my skills with keywords pertaining to project management.

Gaurav, with 14 years of experience I think the approach should be getting career advancements through your network/ connection or through headhunters. You will have a better chance using referrals from an ex colleague or a manager that you used to work under, etc.
Good luck!

Your experience appears to be concentrated in the Oil and Gas industry, and I'm guessing the consulting firms want someone with experience in other industries, such as Information Technology. We are often told that a Project Manager can work in any industry, but few recruiters seem to share that belief, and changing industries as a Project Manager is usually very difficult. The best thing you can do in this circumstance is show recruiters you are not only capable with basic project management concepts, but have some knowledge of the field for which they're hiring. It's not usually possible to express this in a resume, but you can do so in a cover letter. In the meantime, work to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to enter the new field. If you want to enter the Information Technology field, for example, do some research to learn new concepts, or take some free online courses to learn new applications. You need to convince recruiters they should take a chance on you, so the more you know about the field you want to enter the better.

Thank you very much for the reply. You are absolutely true, that Project Management can be applied in any field as the major role of Project Manager is to communicate and lead the team, but at the same, it cannot be showcased on CV and as you said very few recruiters seem to share that belief. Also, I do agree as Project Manager it is difficult to change the industry and that's why I am on this platform to take help from expert people of your kind to guide me to do so. My concepts and fundamentals are very strong and Clear and I want to work beyond my profile limitation in a more elaborative way so that I can become a good professional. I want my CV to be generic from Project Management and Business analyst point of View so that I can approach Big4 and good consultancy firms not limited to Oil and Gas but other industries as well Thanks and Regards.

You need to edit your CV to match what the company wants to hear. Research the job role and company, and then look at their corporate brochures, for the programs, themes, terminology and buzzwords they use. Try and tie these into your previous job description. Don't make up stuff, but find similarities on your previous job functions and map these to the areas I mentioned above when crafting a new or edited CV. In every job description in your CV, give a one or two line eye-catching header that will catch their attention. Finally, you don't need to go to the Big4. Go to the medium 100, or even the small 1000 just to get into a consulting firm. You can rise from there and target the Big4 down the road. Saving Changes...

The majority of good jobs these days are secured through personal relationships and not via cold applications. I would echo Arief's recommendation to leverage your network of contacts who are in a position to help you bypass the usual hiring gatekeepers in companies. Not sure of the situation in India right now, but in North America, such job referrals often provide the referee with some type of referral bonus so it can be a win-win.
