Does PMP certified superseded CAPM exam? Almost people said If any body has PMP certificate, no need to apply CAPM exam? What is benefit for CAPM exam although PMP has covered everything?

The CAPM is only for people who do not have the experience needed to apply for the PMP.

CAPM in my persepctive is the stepping stone, the building blocks of PM fundamentals. PMP is the mastery certification.

I am looking to start with the CAPM as my PM experience is limited to a year and could really use that aspect as a starting point.

I would consider a CAPM for a Project Coordinator, Associate PM. Or look at it as a stepping stone to the PMP.

CAPM benefit: Showing interest in developing higher level PM skills. Being able to ask better questions and last but not least an intro to the PM methodology/structure.

CAPM is your entry level, you are still in uni and planning to get into project management or fresh graduate. It helps a lot to find entry job in PM. Once you have enough experience to qualify to PMP go for it and move on. Just like College and Uni.

The CAPM like Dinah said is one step before the PMP and it is for candidates who does not have the work experience yet.

CAPM material is mostly the same as that of the PMP but I assume it is knowledge based especially the exam.

CAPM, you have to renew it every 5 years as far as I can remember by doing the exam again. However, if you obtain you PMP, you do not need to do so and your PMP will be enough.

Technically yes, but that is like looking at a glass as half empty rather than half full. If someone doesn't have the required experience to qualify for the PMP certification, then the CAPM is the perfect choice.
