What resources did you use to prepare for the PMP-ACP exam? Is it based on PMBOK 6th Edition duo? Did you use external exam simulators? Is there a book that you would like to recommend?

Please post any URL or name of the website/resource for Sample/Mock exam. Thanks in advance for all your help.

1. To obtain the required 21 contact hours in order to qualify for exam, I took the Udemy course from Joseph Phillips which is updated to PMBOK 6th Edition. Search CCRS for PMI Activity ID: PMIACP416 if your application is audited.

2. I bought ebook version of PMI-ACP Exam Study Guide (1st edition, 2018) by J Ashley Hunt, so that I can read anywhere on my phone or tablet. The textbook's Sybex publisher site also has practice exam tools free for one year.

3. I bought ebook version of PMI Agile Practice Guide (1st edition, 2017) because I prefer the flowing text on Google Playbooks than to read from PDF. It's only 182 pages.

4. I'm familiar with scrum master and scrum product owner topics so that helps in the background.

Joseph Phillips' 21hrs Udemy seminar is sufficient preparation, but I added J Ashley Hunt's textbook just to be doubly sure I understood the materials from two teachers.
Very useful information, I am also thinking for PMI ACP this will definitely help during preparations.

the current exam IS based on the current (Sixth) edition of the PMBOK Guide and may also reference content from the Agile Practice Guide. When I studied for it last summer, I used Andy Crowe's Pass the ACP book which includes two practice exams and actually found those to be tougher than the actual exam.

Good luck!

Hi Kiron,

Do you know if the release of the PMBOK 7th edition will impact the PMI- ACP exam content?

I don't believe there will be an immediate update as a result of the publication of the 7th edition for either the PMP or PMI-ACP exams, but PMI does regularly refresh exam items for their certification exams and the volunteers who write those questions may start to use the 7th edition as a reference.

So I'd expect incremental change over time rather than a major update.
