Does anyone have a SAS 70 project plan they can share?

My boss would like me to put together a project plan that'll give him and idea of how much time and cost it'll take to meet the SAS 70 requirements, without actually paying for the audit to get certified. We are a techonology service company with a small data center that hosts about 30 client servers and we also provide some ASP and colocation services.

Hi Michael, we can't tell you how to pass the audit without knowing where you currently fail. The most we could do is tell you what areas you would be audited on. In order to do that, will you be having a SAS 70 type I or type II?

Giving this thread a bump, we are about to begin a SAS 70 Type II audit and I am not looking for a plan to pass the audit but more of a generic guide or plan for the audit.

Any help is appreciated

Good afternoon, no plan attached but a link to provide insight on SAS 70.

A SAS 70 audit can only be performed by an independent certified public accountant (CPA) or firm. CPA firms that perform SAS 70 audits must adhere to specific professional standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
