Hello

Greetings...

Thanks for your response.

please note that i have the books available - PMP 6th edition and Rita 9th edition.

i have already submitted the Exam fees and will just select the date for exam once i achieve my 60% studies.

Problem with me is that i cannot focus my studies continiously due to hactic schedule... i need someone who will guide me with their experience ... that how many hours study per day is enough? and how? SO I WILL SCHEDULE MY EXAMS IN JULY 2018.

that what i overall need :)

i really appreciate if you can HELP me.

I do not know if you have already got PM 35 hours contact certificate. If not Get PMI membership and join you local PMI chapter. Get your 35 hours contact certificate by completing 4 days classroom training.

Once everything is done, develop a study plan 2 to 3 months (depends on your hours study daily).

Take 3 Mock tests atleast and if you score more than 70 %(you feel confident)

Now take the real PMP exam and pass it.

All the best for your PMP exam.

A good study guide will walk you through the whole process. I recommend Rita Mulcahy's PMP Exam Prep. This was the only study guide I used and it was very helpful in not only going over the content, but how to prepare for the test itself. You will need to figure out how many days / weeks before your test, then divide the chapters in the book by that number to figure out how much to study everyday. You can also go the boot camp route, although I believe it is better to study over time, rather than cram. Either way, it is definitely possible, good luck!

I will recommend subscribing to some channels on youtube in respect of PMI and others such as Praizion which does a periodic videos on PM and the exam itself.

If you are the mobile type, then check "PMP exam Prep" on android play store.

Rita is a very good material if you can get one that focuses on pmbok6

Rita's book came highly recommended. I will give you some background on mine. I took the required boot camp in early November. I had a hard dead line of December 31st as I had to leave for a project on January 2nd. I took the class. The next thing I started doing was take the practice exams 1 to 2 every day for the next basically 2 months. I read over my notes and the quick reference guides.

The biggest help was the practice exams. They let you know why you got the question wrong and you can reference the pmbok guide to help. The practice exams get you prepared for how the questions will look on the test.

Next study the formula's do not leave them out. Some of the questions will be based on them. When you can consistantly score 80 or higher you should be good for the exam. That is not to say you will pass but you should have a reasonable shot at it. Please note most people fail it their first time. The test is hard and taxing.

Hi, before you begin preparation, you need to get hold of good study material. I recommend Rita Mulcahy's exam prep for thorough study. Also, try the exercises once you complete a topic/knowledge area to gauge yourself. You definitely need to go through the questions in Head first PMP and most importantly their explanations of the answers. It will clear your mind of any different perspective that you might hold regarding the most suitable answer. There are really a few things to just cram even though you could use some logic to remember them especially the Inputs, outputs and Tools techniques of each knowledge area. All the best!

Hi,

Its essential to read through PMBOK atleast once, I also referred Rita Mulcahy's exam preparation guide which helped to align the reading with examples. Take as much as mock exams or questions as possible, this really helps to get a hold on the subject. The practice tests also help to identify the gaps and the topics that you need to focus on

Ultimately, its the confidence and the focus which helps to get through the exam. Brace yourself and good luck !

Everyone studies differently but I concentrated across a month, from Christmas through exam date of Jan 27 for PMBOK5. Make sure you devote time and effort by eliminating as much distraction as possible. Praizion (on YouTube and also specific coursework toward your 35 hours is available, plus ask to join his Savage on Saturdays for mentoring/encouragement). Rita's book is good. Corenelius Fichtner, Oliver Lehmann (very tough 75 question exam online, free, plus it links to other resources). Obviously study PMBOK6 and the Agile book. Good luck!

I would say that reading the PMBOK once and reading Rita Mulcahy's book thrice & do the exam after each chapter. then three mock test should be good. once you see your performance there you will know where you stand. All the best.

Doing the same here as i am also preparing for the PMP exam
