Anonymous, here is a slide presentation I use in my BPI workshop. The workflow modeling techniques are simple and elegant. Let me know if they are helpful

If you are looking to map the work people do in addition to any automation supporting your processes, take a look at the method described at http://www.processchart.com Saving Changes...
You asked for simple ... here you go! Works great for business process flow mapping. I also recommend using Visio where you'll find templates to build flow charts easily. Saving Changes...

I've been using the Process Oriented Enterprise Modelling template (from Dr Tomislav Rozman), set out in a freely available poster from http://poem.itposter.net
The process neighbourhood diagram is pretty useful for showing all the contributing and dependent parts of a process, when built up as a wiki template for each page in a larger wiki based Business process library.

I have downloaded your presentation and seems very similar to Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and some of given BPM (Business Process Methodology). Infact your presentation has structured process / method and you must be having some detailed documentation for Helix. I will appreciate if you can share that also.
It might help to understand more in detail about Helix and also exploring it in line with Six Sigma.

Hi Rishi,
Helix, which I began authoring in 1979 predates all other BPI methods used today. While it shares some common ideas with Six Sigma it is very different and yet complimentary. DMAIC is a framework without an underlying methodology with specific models and outcomes to be achieved. Helix on the other hand is quite prescriptive and the models and tools are integrally designed to work together. In addition, Helix BPI feeds directly into The Helix Methodology, a comprehensive SDLC. In fact using the outputs of Helix BPI the functional requirements of the underpinning IT business applications can be derived including the data structure needed. This tight integration from strategy -> process -> application requirements ensures alignment throughout.
I give my 1st book away to anyone on gantthead who lives in the USA... I just need a postal address. The 300 plus slide workshop (free to anyone who requests it via email) is quite detailed on the BPI portion of Helix and is further detailed in my 2n book "The Helix Factor - the implementer's guide".
I am currently collaborating with some Six Sigma black belt colleagues of mine to create a super charged version of Six Sigma by integrating Helix and Six Sigma together.
its really interesting to learn & use new and diverse methodology in work and I look forward to understand more about Helix. Also might use in some project.
Also is it possible to use Helix in IT Quality deployment?
If yes, Please share some of case study...

Rishi, has been used to reengineer complete IT organizations. Helix was developed in the service industry not manufacturing so it really shines in its approach in areas where people are crucial to the outcomes to be achieved.
Last year I used Helix to perform an assessment of an IT organization that resulted in the succesful restructuring of IT and a marked improvement in the quality of service levels... unfortunately virtually all my clients require me to sign non-disclosure agreements so I am not at liberty to provide details.
Suffice to say that Helix plays nicely in the CMMI,ITIL and governance arenas Saving Changes...
