Make sure you are adding value to the company you are working for , and then make sure the company knows the value you are adding ...

This is the deal for today business or project environment what are we bringing to the table as a team leaders.

The paradigm of today is create activities and value processes for the institutions in which we work, to be able to secure our jobs in the midst of so much competition and search for talents from companies.

You are absolutely right, making sure that the company knows the value you are adding.
We need to market ourselves always internally and connect the added value that we are creating to the company short and long goals.

I have noticed over the years that many people feel they should be humble in regards to their career or else people think they are bragging. Years ago I started the habit of documenting what I had accomplished for the year and hand that to my boss for my annual review. Some co-workers were surprised. I told them that I was the only one who I was positive would look out for me. I have grown and have become more vocal about what I am capable of doing. And I try to encourage others to do the same.
You need to be in charge of your career. Treat it the same as any project.

That is true Dinah , Sometimes people take it for granted, that our superiors are aware of everything we do and often this is not the case.
We have to speak for ourselves.

A third aspect to ensure is that one *takes* value out of every endeavour.

A project not learnt from is a project wasted.

I think the more value we contribute to the organization, the better the investment and the more likely they are to continue investing more in the future.
