Is there a way we can use bold and underline in this chat?

I am wondering if we can use few feature of words like color font, bold & underline I tried to copy paste but then it get removed and text back to plain looks like not supported
Any idea , any suggestion ?

The reply box does not support HTML tags.

One can only guess as to why not - maybe the back-end databases can store only plain text data for this field. Perhaps the HTML tags do not get parsed.

If emphasis is to be added to any point in this environment, one can use *single stars* or **double stars**

Is those mutually agreed - If we make the word bold how many bit it will increased so it effect the back end database ! ?

I wouldn't even know where to begin with to answer that.
