I agree with you gurus "situational leadership", I think only by experience, age and working in different cultures we gain that skill and it is the ultimate pass to success.

I want to add that I build relationships with my customers and I try to be a no-nonsense, straight forward manager. I do not add a lot of fluff and I am always truthful. That does not mean I am blunt, just try to get straight to the point.

I still remember my German favourite manager. He used to tell me: Assess the situation
and environment first, try to understand what is going on and who is your team and the client structure then decide your leadership model. On one hand, you might need to be just mentor for the team and on the other hand, you might need to be a dictator. Saving Changes...
