Most of the times we need to take stand to support the rights and benefits of the team we as PM work closely with them and need their motivational support to execute the tasks.

But at a time we feel that we've been squashed in the middle between the team and the upper management, hence it is hard to have a balance and equilibrium between both so how much you are willing to support the team.
Remember you have a family and you also need the job - you can't threat and walk away - what would be your action?

I will try to find the balance between both parties and smooth the situation.

To tell you the truth I have never been in that position in reality and I hope that I do not have to. However, last year, I left a very good job to protect my family unity and until now struggling financially from that decision.

In one of the projects, Our client humiliated my team and put every four in a small room to save money. So I left my nice single portacabin and joined them in one of their rooms until the client accepted my request to have every two team members in one room, and middle management team members in a single occupancy.

I would have lost the entire team if I have not done that.
