Agile is not about to use a method. If you tried to implement Agile with that focus you will fail indeed (sorry to be cathegoric but I can sustain my comment). I am leading my seventh initiative from 1995 to implement Agile into a hugh organization (this time, but I have been working into any type of organziations)

Depends on the organization's culture, context, current state and the sense of urgency around the change.

Kanban works well when incremental, continuous improvement is the focus, but if there's a need for a revolution, then a more structured agile methodology could be considered.

However, for either to succeed, you have to start by changing mindset & behavior...
