Standards have been used in project management for decades. As a collection of best practices, they offer guidance and are the starting point in defining Project Delivery methodologies in organizations. In the Agile world, standards are replaced by frameworks. Most teams also have practice standards, such as architectural standards, coding standards, etc. Surviving the Extreme Programming popularity fall from grace, one of the most common methods to 'measure' value is Story Points. Unlike their grandfather (Function Points), Story Points are a relative measure and should not be used outside the team. Combining traditional practices, some have used Story Points to track Earned Value in a project.

Based on the presenter's experience as a practitioner, this webinar is an analysis of the principles of the Earned Value Standard and the challenges of using it in Agile projects.
