Overview

The ISO 21502:2020 standard is a comprehensive guide for managing projects. It ensures consistency and quality in project outcomes by providing up-to-date guidelines that reflect best practices and adapt to the modern business environment. This standard includes sections on: 1. Project context 2. Governance 3. Life cycle 4. Project organization and roles 5. 7 Integrated project management practices 6. 17 Project management practices Implementing it effectively can be challenging. Many organizations struggle to evaluate their readiness, leading to fragmented and ineffective applications. Common barriers include inadequate preparation and resistance to change , for example when you are using agile or waterfall approaches how to ensure you are in compliance with this norm ? To overcome these challenges, a detailed diagnosis is essential. This involves identifying gaps in current project management practices and creating a clear roadmap for implementing the best practices recommended by ISO.
