Assertiveness is the ability to stand up for what you believe and express your ideas, opinions, make suggestions or recommendations and feel confident that your expressions are just as worthy of sharing as anyone else’s. As your assertiveness improves, so will your productivity and efficiency. You will soon see how being assertive allows you to work with people to accomplish tasks, solve problems, and reach solutions. Assertiveness is a skill and like all other skills it can be learned. Being assertive and maintaining a proper balance is a necessity for project success.
