n this installment of the Discover PMI – Ask Us Anything Series, we will provide an overview of A World of Volunteer Opportunities with PMI! Volunteering is at the heart of the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMI was founded by volunteers in 1969 and individuals have come together ever since to donate their time and talents to the profession. Volunteerism is so important that Volunteer Service Excellence is one of six core values guiding the Institute and states that “volunteers and effective partnerships with staff are the best way to accomplish the Institute’s goals and objectives”.
