PurposeThis site lists and brings access to information related to major international intitutions which publish standard forms of contract for construction works. Most of the influence in international construction standard forms of contracts nowadays come from the UK and USA based institutions. Both UK and USA based institutions have standard forms suited for common law jurisdictions, therefore, these aren't well suited for civil law jurisdictions. FIDIC (International Federtation of Consulting Engineers) is the most influential international institution on the field. Their standards were initially based on the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers from UK) standards, but currently have been adapted to be useful in both civil and common law jurisdictions.
