Rethinking What’s Possible in Your PM Career
The last few years have been full of disruption and uncertainty. Not just in the project management space, and not just in the corporate world. Virtually every aspect of life has been disrupted in some way, whether that’s negatively with the pandemic or (arguably) positively with advancements in AI and related technologies.
One thing is clear: These aren’t temporary changes; they are permanent shifts. And in project management, some of those shifts have been fairly dramatic.
There has been the embracing of new ways of working in many organizations. Not just remote work, but also the increased use of piecemeal workers for small tasks. Hybrid has become increasingly popular, although it continues to mean different things to different organizations, and of course project managers are now expected to be much more focused on delivering business value as well as on the traditional triple constraint.
On a broader level, project management is increasingly being recognized as a critical discipline within today’s transformation focused organizations, creating greater understanding of its importance.
