If you’re anything like me, you’ll have been saying things like, “Hasn’t the year gone quickly?” and “I can’t believe Quarter 1 is so close already” for a couple of weeks now.

As another year rushes towards 31 December, many project and PMO teams are juggling deadlines, planning cycles and sponsors’ requests to “just get it done before the holidays.” Add on to that the festive distractions and people out of the office, and it’s hard to believe we have any time for continuous improvement or reflection at all.

But what if you could make a meaningful difference in just a few minutes a day? I think you can, with the right focus (in other words, a plan to follow, because I understand you probably feel at peak capacity right now). Below, you’ll find 24 small actions to help you wrap up the year on a high note.

Perhaps you could frame this as a challenge for your PMO team. Perhaps you only want to do one a week. Perhaps you use this as a starting list to choose the things you feel would add the most value to start in the new year.
