The webinar Project Sustainability in Asia Pacific: Compliance, Measurement and Impact explored how organizations across the Asia Pacific region are navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards in project management.
The session, hosted by Dr. Taiwo Abraham, featured insights from Dr. Joel Carboni, Vicki Taylor and Winardi Sani, and drew questions from a live audience of project professionals grappling with sustainability implementation in their organizations.
From measuring sustainable development to building a social license to operate (SLO), and from overcoming data deficiencies to making the business case for sustainability, the session surfaced both practical strategies and persistent challenges facing Asia Pacific project teams. The conversation revealed a region under increasing pressure to align projects with compliance frameworks while demonstrating tangible impact—yet often lacking the measurement systems, leadership support and governance mechanisms to do so effectively.
