Enterprise agility is becoming a defining capability for organizations facing rapid technological change, shifting market expectations, and increasing complexity. While many companies have introduced agile practices within teams, far fewer have successfully scaled those approaches across the enterprise. 

To help address this challenge, PMI and the Agile Alliance recently launched the Manifesto for Enterprise Agility—a set of values and principles designed to help organizations move beyond isolated agile practices toward truly adaptive, enterprise-wide ways of working. 

As part of the development of the Manifesto, PMI spoke with a range of executive leaders to gather insights on what enterprise agility looks like in practice. In the following interview excerpts, Lenka Pincot, Chief of Staff to the CEO at the Project Management Institute and a board member of the Agile Alliance, speaks with Heidi Musser—an executive consultant and board member who contributed to the Manifesto and whose work focuses on helping organizations navigate complex transformation at the intersection of technology, culture and leadership.
