The discipline of project management has always evolved with the needs of organizations. What began decades ago as a focus on scope, time and budget has expanded into an enterprise-level discipline that now touches strategy, leadership and transformation.

Today, with the infusion of artificial intelligence into digital platforms, the role of the project professional is expanding yet again. We are being asked not only to deliver solutions, but also to lead strategic change across industries where disruption is constant.

In my own career spanning Fortune 100 consulting firms and Fortune 10 enterprises, I’ve had the privilege of managing large-scale, AI-enabled digital transformation programs. These projects, often in highly regulated industries like healthcare and financial services, have reinforced a simple truth: technology does not deliver transformation; disciplined project and product management does.
