In this highly competitive market--and as the world becomes more global--it is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate yourself from your competition. One way you can set yourself apart is through quality--it’s an advantage that is very hard to take away. If you have a reputation for building quality products and delivering quality services, then you have gone a long way toward being successful. You need look no further than current headlines to see it--the speed with which Toyota sales have recovered after their Prius troubles has been remarkable. Its reputation has not suffered long-term damage from the recent high-profile problems.
If you want to ensure that your organization can differentiate itself based on quality, then you need to ensure that everyone is focused on achieving that goal. Quality goes far beyond the individual project, and in this article I want to look at some of the steps needed to ensure that you are capable of delivering quality projects on a consistent basis.
