Project leaders are using social media in significant ways, from improving collaboration on dispersed teams to connecting with a wider group of subject matter experts. One PM says it is like a “customizable mentor.” And a network of 3.9 million blogging moms would suggest it is here to stay, whether you’re managing a family or a different kind of project.
I’ve been writing about social media and project management for the last couple of years. I’m convinced that social media has a role to play in the process and isn’t going away any time soon. In fact, if you’re an “anti-social” project leader, you might want to rethink your position. Social media is here to stay.
After searching less than five minutes, I found one network of 3.9 million mom bloggers that boasted over 17,000 members. Social media (including mom bloggers) is changing the way mothers buy products; politicians interact with constituents and even how project managers’ lead teams.
