In this corner, dressed in worker blue and representing employees sitting in their cube farms all over the world, the unsung hero of the working world—insourcing! And in the other corner, the scrappy boxer dressed in sales black looking desperately for work and willing to work the long hours to get it—outsourcing!
While chief executive officers and program managers look on, these two boxers will slug it out to determine who will be on the project team: in-house workers with corporate knowledge that belong to the organization, or hired guns willing to bid a low price while hoping for additional contracts down the road. Only time will tell who the better boxer is, but while we wait for the starting bell, let us review the statistics and the long, bumpy road that has brought us to this fight tonight.
The Trainers: Hired Guns vs. Long-Term Relationships
