10 Tips to Passing the PRINCE2 Exam
PRINCE2 has become the de facto UK standard, as it is managed by the government’s Cabinet Office and is the way most government initiatives are run. As a result, it’s a popular choice for public sector project managers, as well as those in the private sector. And over the years, PRINCE2’s appeal has spread outside of the UK to gain worldwide use.
The exam is an open-book, scenario-based, multiple-choice test--but it’s unlikely to be like any other multiple choice exam you’ve taken. In fact, many PRINCE2 Practitioner training courses devote a day to practice papers and learning exam techniques to help you ace it.
You don’t need a day of training to brush up your exam-taking skills. Here are 10 tips to help you get through the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam...
1. Annotate your manual. It’s an open-book test; you can’t take in any notes or loose bits of paper, but you can take in your PRINCE2 manual. And no one will check what you’ve written inside it. There is lots of white space to draw process diagrams and make notes. You can also mark key pages with sticky tabs so that you can quickly flick to the right section if you need to refer to it during the exam. This will save you loads of time and is well worth the effort.
2. Forget real life... You’ll get a scenario booklet, and it will probably be a pretty
