The Prominence of Tracking in Software Project Management— Insight
It is a well-known fact that one of the most important observations made by companies and organizations in the field of software project management is that there are problems and failures in software project deliveries, even when a project is well planned (both in terms of cost and time) from the beginning. It is practical that there is a cascading effect of similar errors and/or failures across the various stages of the same project or future projects in the same organization.
The project manager, together with his or her team, is responsible for the successful delivery of the project; hence, it is in his or her best interests to ensure he or she makes the best use of the relevant tools and techniques to make this happen. Tracking different information about the project and its subsequent research plays a key role in rendering a methodical and results-oriented approach for taking the project toward success.
