An Insight on the Key Inspect and Adapt Cycle: The Retrospectives

Retrospectives are one of the key rituals that enable teams to reflect on their behavior, as underlined in the agile manifesto. The team can reflect upon every moment, but retrospectives are one of the events that are exclusively intended for reflection. A retrospective is a special meeting during which the team gathers after completing an increment of work to inspect and adapt their methods and teamwork. Retrospectives enable whole-team learning, act as catalysts for change, and generate action.

In my view, this is not a new concept or jargon that the team needs to really master, but yes, in reality it becomes challenging to keep the momentum lively at all times! Over a period of time, we see these symptoms in a retrospective.
