Introduction
You have worked for your company for several years and you feel that you have made the most of it; but now, it’s time to move on. There are many articles on how to look for a job and find the right one. I suggest you approach the job-hunting process from a different angle.

Looking for a job is like a project; and so, you have to be a project manager of this job-hunting project. It is also similar to selling a product—where you are the product. You don’t really need previous experience as a project manager or product manager. But how do you do that?

The following article describes methods taken from the project and product management worlds that can be applied to a job search. If you are thinking about starting this process, you can adopt some of the recommendations from this article—whether you are a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification holder or not. Most of the advice in this article is practical and is given based on personal experience.
