Ask the Expert: A Notable Experience
The mail from PMI organizers was a like a dream come true as it dropped silently in my inbox. I couldn’t contain my excitement as I sifted through the emails and found an invite to be a part of PMI Global Congress 2016—North America as an “expert” for the “Ask the Expert” sessions. Me? An expert? In what? My mind was clouding.
Was it reality, or was I dreaming? I wondered…an opportunity to mingle with a group of experts from different domains and walks of life to exchange ideas. Different regions of the world brought in the diversity in all its glory. This was a step taken by the Project Management Institute to keep its promise of bringing the best of knowledge and resources to its members.
San Diego was the perfect venue for this global event that was looking at a staggering attendance of over 2,000 attendees representing 60 countries from across the world. The weather was a brilliant 90 and supported the warmth in connections. With a mix of members from across domains and age groups, the platform was a perfect blend of thoughts.
The three major pillars of this event were:
- Knowledge sharing: For the novice as well as seasoned project/program and portfolio managers as they mingle with key influencers and like-minded peers.
