November Book Club Closing Webinar - Project Management Simplified: A Step-by-Step Process Q&A
Our closing webinar for the November Book Club selection (Project Management Simplified: A Step-by-Step Process) had more questions after the broadcast was over. Here, the author covers the additional questions and answers that came out of that session.
1. What are the reasons to learn PM processes instead of f.e. agile framework? Are the any connections between them? Why should PMs learn A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) instead just agile practices?
Agile and waterfall are software development methodologies with emphasis on time frame and requirements, respectively. PMBOK® Guide (page 2) lists them as alternatives to the PMBOK® Guide processes for implementing the project management framework. A project manager should be familiar with the methodologies predominate in his/her field.
2. Does the author mention and cover something about digital/digitalization of project management, or the key core roles for the digital project manager using the agile methodology in the current digitalization era?
While this is a great question, it is somewhat beyond the scope of projects in simpler environments, which is the focus of the book.
3. How do you overcome the impact/risk of culture on project?
There are many types of culture, including country, company/organizational and project/team.
