Our webinar for the February 2017 Book Club Intro - Project and Program Turnaround had more questions after the broadcast was over. Here, the presenter covers the additional questions and answers that came out of that session.
1. How do we get more managers to buying/accept the project to fund?
The number of managers needed—and their assignments—will be determined when the turnaround plan (new program plan) is written. New managers can be recruited or promoted from within the original program. I discuss these options in detail in the book.
2. Is agile the preferred methodology for projects that are not related to software technology?
Agile is one of many management methodologies that can be applied to execute a program. As mentioned during my webinar, I am addressing the practices and physical organization needed that address the needs and special capabilities of us humans—as individuals and as teams. These apply regardless of the methodology being incorporated.
3. What is the turnaround complexity for projects and programs?
In many cases, the turnaround plan will be more complex the original program plan. This is simple because the original plan may have lacked details that caused the program to fall behind. The program being turned
